‘Georgia’s traditional songs from the Caucasus mountains present the fundament of the traditional songs of Europe and Asia.

The men’s ensemble ‘Rustavi’ sounds as a church choir. In some songs it reminds us the echo of the angels’ voice. In some cases the prolonged bass gives background to solo voices. In some songs sounds develop quickly, become stronger and end in joyful exclamations.

Among these songs the most distinct and great are the songs where harmony bursts because of intricate sounds. With these sounds you can hear a different voice – yodel (‘krimanchuli’), which moves up and down very swiftly and makes this wonder much more beautiful. ‘Rustavi’’s choir is refined, its songs haven’t lost their original dignity, aroma, color’.
