Ensemble “Rustavi” Administration Press Release, August 12th, 2015
The successful tour of the singers of the State Academic Ensemble of Georgian Folk Song and Dance to the People’s Republic of China continues. This time a concert is being held in Beijing.
The Artistic Director Anzor Erkomaishvili gave a masterclass to the Chinese music fans and groups, he told them about uniqueness of the Georgian folk music, about special, extraordinary features of the folk song – the unique treasure recognized by outstanding ethnomusicologists of the world. He gave the fan groups important advice and recommendations. And the “Rustavi” performed the folk songs distinguished for their polyphony.
On August 13th the Ensemble “Rustavi” will perform at the famous hall of the National Grand Theater of China, and on August 14th the Ensemble “Rustavi” will crown this important tour in Shanghai.
